A 13-minute police chase ended with a crash and four arrests shortly after midnight Sunday morning in the Brooklet area.

According to reports, Antonial Maurice Kirkland, 17, of Guyton, David Javaaid Griffin, 20, of Guyton, Quieyon Rondarius Lee, 18, of Springfield and a juvenile were all arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Kirkland, who deputies say was driving the car, was charged with several traffic offenses, including fleeing and attempting to elude officers.

According to Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office reports, a Brooklet Police officer attempted to stop a 2002 Chrysler Sebring for a traffic violation inside the city limits of Brooklet. When the driver failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed, Bulloch County deputies and Georgia State Patrol troopers were called to assist.

After the pursuit began, reports indicate the vehicle traveled toward Statesboro on Highway 80, down Burkhalter Road and Pretoria Rushing Road before heading back toward Brooklet, with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. The vehicle crashed at Arcola Road and U.S. Highway 80 East, where the occupants were taken into custody. The report mentions no injuries in the crash.

All four suspects were transported to the Bulloch County Jail for processing.
