A Statesboro church is offering a warm solution for those who may not have adequate heat during the next few nights of sub-freezing weather.

Bulloch County Public Safety Director Ted Wynn said the low Wednesday and Thursday nights was forecast to plummet into the "low 20s and possibly the teens, with very low wind chills."

First Presbyterian Church of Statesboro is providing a warming center for people in need. The center opened Wednesday night. The hours of intake for the warming center at the church, at 1215 Fair Road, are from 6 to 10 p.m. today, and it will close between 6:30 and 7 a.m. Thursday, Wynn said.

The center will reopen for intake Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. and close between 6:30 and 7 a.m. Friday, he said.
