Event to support new, expectant mothers is Aug. 12
Snug, Safe & Supported

In recognition of World Breastfeeding Week, the Southeast Health District will host "Snug, Safe, and Supported," a community event designed to provide education, support and resources to new and expecting mothers. 

The event is set for 9 a.m.–1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Bulloch County Health Department on Altman Street in Statesboro.

Information will be available about programs that offer support to both maternal and infant health, including:

• Perinatal health services – Help for mom and baby during and after pregnancy. 

• Lactation services – Breastfeeding education and our Breastfeeding Buddy program

• Child passenger safety services – Car seat checks, safety classes, and no-cost car seats for eligible families
