Statesboro Police Arrests
NOTE: The Melissa Brown listed in Monday's Statesboro Herald as being charged with battery and cruelty to children was not the Melissa Brown employed by the Bulloch County school system.

The Statesboro Herald publishes the ages and street addresses of persons charged with offenses to avoid confusion between two citizens who may share the same name. Roger Dale Miller, 49, Chances Mobile Home Park — driving with a revoked or suspended license, cracked windshield, no tag, no insurance, open container, passing traffic in the median.
Aundrea Ann Hagins, 40, U.S. 80 West, Portal — probation violation.

Troopers issued seven traffic violation citations Monday.

CAMBRIDGE AT SOUTHERN — A witness spotted two men moving furniture out of an unoccupied apartment and called police, who arrested the offenders on burglary charges.
LOGAN HAGAN WELDING — Police found a vehicle with its engine running and lights on inside a locked fence. A key holder to the business responded and identified the vehicle as belonging to the business.
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
FERNWOOD DRIVE — (Ellabell) A woman told deputies a neighbor drives past their house slowly and shines a spot light into their windows, plays loud music and curses at them. Deputies tried to contact the offender once, but he was not home. A second attempt resulted in the man refusing to come outside and two dogs prevented deputies from entering a fenced yard.
McCOY ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman met deputies in a convenience store parking lot and told them she and her husband had been involved in a domestic dispute.
HUNTERS POINTE DRIVE — (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a domestic dispute between a man and woman over the man's medication.
BEAVER CREEK DRIVE — (Statesboro) A woman told deputies another woman assaulted her in her own driveway. Two men were listed as witnesses.
CHANCE'S MOBILE HOME PARK — (Clito) A woman said she "hollered at" two females standing outside her home and they came into her home, wanting to fight. The complainant's husband stepped in between the women and told the offenders to leave, and one of the intruders "pressed a razor blade against his right shoulder, threatened him, then left," reports stated. The man was not injured.
OWL DRIVE — (Statesboro) A woman said a man pushed her after she argued with his girlfriend. The man denied the accusation.
GRIMSHAW LANE — (Brooklet) A man said he borrowed $3,000 from a bank and left the cash in his pants pocket. He discovered $550 missing, and questioned his girlfriend, who admitted taking the cash. She moved out before paying him back, he said.
FIVE CHOP ROAD — (Portal) A man told deputies he and his wife argued because he "knew she had been doing drugs, and since they were married, what's hers is also his," so he took her truck keys from her. She scratched him, leaving a visible bleeding injury to his arm, when he did so. The man said he found partially smoked marijuana joints in the truck and showed them to deputies. The woman was charged with battery and the marijuana was destroyed.
CEDARWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK — (Register) A woman called deputies when an argument between her son and his girlfriend became physical. The man was arrested on battery charges.
THE STORE — (Portal, Ga. 25) A man reported someone backing into a diesel pump, causing damage.
Georgia State Patrol Incidents
Troopers issued 19 warnings, made one emergency relay of blood or medical supplies, and investigated two crashes with two reported injuries Monday.
Georgia Southern University Incidents
UNDISCLOSED LOCATION — Two juveniles were charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
Officers issued one traffic warning and responded to one alarm Monday.
