            Troopers issued 34 traffic violation citations Saturday.


Georgia Southern University Arrests

            Arrests reports were unavailable.


Statesboro Police Incidents

            LANIER DRIVE – Officers observed a car speeding away from a red light and swerving on the road. Officers pulled the vehicle off the road when they saw the driver was about to hit a stop sign with his car. The driver was cited for a DUI.

            LANIER DRIVE – A man reported he got into a verbal altercation with his uncle and that his uncle had caused damage to his coffee table and air conditioner unit.

            BERMUDA RUN ROAD – Officers responded to two men reporting a burglary at their residence.

            MORRIS STREET – A man reported another man had pointed a gun at a female and then discharged the gun into the air. The suspect was located and arrested.

            SOUTH MAIN STREET – Officers responded to a woman reporting a fire at her residence. The fire department and and ambulance was called.

            NORTHSIDE DRIVE – A man reported a suspicious vehicle was parked at his place of business. Officers attempted to make contact with the driver. When the driver was not located, officers had the vehicle towed.

            CINDY LANE – Officers responded to a man reporting that he had gotten into a verbal altercation with his brother-in-law because the man had parked cars in the complainant's yard. The man said he was drunk when he told his brother-in-law he could park the cars in his yard.

            LOVETT ROAD – Officers observed an unattended van parked in the middle of the road. When the owner of the vehicle returned, officers found the driver had no proof of insurance. The man was cited for no proof of insurance and the van was towed.

            NORTHSIDE DRIVE – A woman reported she had gotten into a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, who was upset because she was not at her residence when he got there. The woman told officers that the man tried to choke her by putting his hands around her neck. The man told officers that he wanted to get his belongings from the residence. The couple were separated and the man was charged with criminal trespass.

            LANIER DRIVE – Officers responded to a woman reporting a man had entered her residence without permission and exposed himself to her. She said that after she asked him to leave, he touched her buttocks.

            SOUTH MAIN – A woman reported giving a male friend her payroll check for him to take to the bank and cash the check. The man never returned and attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.


Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents

            KENNEDY POND ROAD – (Statesboro) A woman reported that someone had entered her home while she was not there and took a DVD player, DVDs, and CDs from her residence.

            OLD THORN POND ROAD – (Brooklet) Deputies responded to a woman reporting her riding lawn mower was missing.

            SANDPIPER DRIVE – (Statesboro) A woman reported an unruly juvenile at her residence, saying the juvenile was out of control.

            MUDD ROAD – (Brooklet) Deputies responded to a domestic dispute. Upon deputies arrival, the second party had left the residence.

            IVANHOE ROAD – (Brooklet) A man reported damage to the front and back doors of his residence.

            ROCKY FORD ROAD – (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a domestic dispute a married couple was having over shared property.

            CEDARWOOD ACRES MOBILE HOME PARK – (Statesboro) A man reported that he had evicted a man from the mobile home park about a month ago and another tenant had called and said the man was back on the property. When the man arrived at the mobile home park, he saw the evicted tenant riding a horse through the property. The men got into a verbal altercation. When the property owner called the sheriff's office, the man left the property on his horse. Attempts to locate the man were unsuccessful.



Georgia State Patrol Incidents

            Troopers issued 48 warnings, assisted three motorists and investigated three crashes with four injuries Saturday.

            Incident reports were unavailable.

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Friday:

            Bulloch County Sheriff's Department – 15 calls.

             Statesboro Police Department — 20 calls.

            Georgia State Patrol Post 45 — seven calls.

            Portal Police — one call.

            Candler County Sheriff's Department — three calls.

            Evans County Sheriff's Department — one call.


911 Fire Department Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Friday:

            Statesboro Fire Department — seven calls.


911 EMS Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Saturday:

            Bulloch County EMS — one accident call and ten medical calls.  

            Candler County EMS — three medical calls.

            Evans County EMS — four medical calls.   

            Operators also routed one call to the Statesboro Water Department and one call to Bryan County 911.
