The following closings and changes in schedule have been announced due to Hurricane Irma:

All classes are cancelled at Georgia Southern University Friday and Monday and Tuesday of next week.

All classes are cancelled at Ogeechee Technical College on Monday and Tuesday.

From clerk of court Heather McNeal:

As a result of Hurricane Irma, which may result in conditions such that travel would be hazardous, the Court finds that a judicial emergency exists such that jury selection previously scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2017 is hereby cancelled and you are not required to appear as previously summoned.

From Bulloch County Schools:

Southeast Bulloch High School's varsity football game against Benedictine has been rescheduled. It will be played tonight, Thursday, Sept 7 at 7 p.m. at home on Fred Shaver Field.
