When Statesboro City Council gathers for a regularly scheduled meeting today, much its focus will be given to bolstering the city’s fleet of service vehicles. Councilmen will meet in City Hall’s council chambers at 6 p.m., where they could decide to spend more than $500,000 for the new equipment. Motions being considered, according to the meeting agenda, would allow for the purchase of two utility trucks ($68,184), a pair of refuse trailers ($128,800), a new knuckle-boom trash loader truck ($124,097) and a new front loader commercial refuse truck ($206,995).
