First Southern National Bank announces the promotion of Audrey Russell to Loan Administration Officer. She will continue working in the Credit Department analyzing credit and performing loan reviews. In addition, she will manage the bank's special assets and perform other duties as needed in loan administration.
First Southern President and CEO, Tommy David, said "We are proud to promote Audrey to Loan Administration Officer. She demonstrates a superb work ethic and the quality of her work is exceptional. She has a maturity level and knowledge beyond her years, which is why she is one of only two members of our team to receive our most prestigious honor, the "And Then Some" Award, given to those who go above and beyond their duties at the bank. Audrey is a valued member of our team, and we have great expectations of her for the future."
Russell joined the First Southern team in June of 2006, as an intern, and began working full time in June 2007 as a Junior Credit Analyst, focusing primarily on analyzing borrowers for new and existing loans. In June 2008 she was promoted to Credit Analyst at which time she also monitored special assets for the bank.
Russell has been a resident of Statesboro since January 1997. She graduated from The University of Georgia's Terry College of Business with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance in 2007. Audrey has been a member of the Professional Women of Statesboro since 2008 and is actively involved with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. She was the captain of First Southern's 2008 Relay for Life team and helped raise over $8,000 for the campaign.
Russell is the daughter of former GSU Football Defensive Coordinator Rusty Russell and Pam Russell, and the granddaughter of the late Erk and Jean Russell.
