When employees of a South Main Street bank returned to work Tuesday after a three-day weekend, they found the bank had been burglarized. Statesboro police officers responded around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday to Heritage Bank of the South on South Main Street in reference to the reported burglary, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said. "After a thorough search of the bank, Statesboro police officers did not locate anyone inside the building," he said.
