Arrest made in armed robbery
County also seeking two robbery suspects

Armed robbery investigations continue as Statesboro police arrested a man in connection to one recent incident and Bulloch County sheriff’s deputies seek two others in a Tuesday night holdup.Two men dressed in black — one white male and one black male — entered the Zip ‘N convenience store on Old River Road North at U.S. 301 North around 8 p.m. Tuesday and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson.After they snatched an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects fled down Old River Road on foot, he said.Statesboro Police are investigating a number of armed robberies as well, and arrested a man Tuesday just hours before the convenience store robbery. Investigators and detectives have not said any of the robberies are linked, and investigations continue.Around 5:11 p.m., Statesboro police officers made an arrest in a Nov. 17 armed robbery and aggravated assault which occurred on Gordon Street, said Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner.Statesboro Police Det. Tommy Brown spotted Christopher Marshall, 21, East Olliff Street, “on foot in the area of Gordon Street Tuesday and recognized him as the suspect of the armed robbery,” Turner said.
