A victim identified two suspects in an armed robbery Sunday night after they were quickly apprehended by police.
The victim, a clerk at the GATE convenience store on South Main Street, suffered an injury after being struck in the head by one of the gunmen, but denied transportation to the hospital, said Madison Bridges Warren, Statesboro Police Community Information Specialist.
The victim gave police descriptions of the suspects, and within minutes after the armed robbery was reported around 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Brandon Latrell Blocker, 24, West Inman Street, and Nicholas Maurice Williams, 32, East Jones Avenue, were located.
Officers took them to the convenience store where the victim positively identified them as his assailants, she said.
Blocker and Williams were each charged with armed robbery, and aggravated assault with a gun.
Blocker also faces charges of obstruction, and battery (family violence), according to Bulloch County Jail records.
The suspects were taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where they each remain without bond, jail officials said.
The suspects were transported to the Bulloch County Jail to await further court action.
