Jenkins County sheriff's investigators are seeking the whereabouts of a third missing person from the area this year.

Jesse Hendley, 51, Paramore Hill Road, south of Millen, was reported missing Tuesday, said Jenkins County Sheriff Robert Oglesby.

An incident report indicates that Hendley has not been seen since Sept. 3. He left behind his cellphone and vehicle, but family reported that he took a gun. Hendley pawned the gun, Oglesby said.

Hendley stands 5 feet 11 inches, weighs 230 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. No foul play is suspected in his disappearance, he said. The incident report states that Hendley faced financial and other personal issues.

Oglesby also said no foul play is suspected in the recent disappearance of Joseph Jenkins, 58, of Perkins Hiltonia Road, who was reported missing Aug. 28.

Jenkins has not been seen since he was picked up July 5 at Jenkins County Hospital by his sister-in-law, according to a report.

Jenkins is a "bad diabetic," and there has been no activity in his bank account, an incident report states.

A $20,000 reward offered for information about a man missing since September 2013 has led to no clues, Oglesby said.

L.C. Burroughs, 74, of Georgia Highway 23, disappeared after leaving home to get breakfast. The salvage yard owner's truck was found on his property with the door open and keys in the ignition, according to media reports.

Anyone with information on any of the missing persons is asked to contact Oglesby at (478) 982-1570.
