A burglar caught in the act by homeowners attacked them with a baseball bat, but they were able to fight back and subdue him until deputies came to take him to jail. Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Eldora Road in Ellabell around 1 a.m. Sunday, where residents of the home were holding Kenneth Allen Sykes Jr., 20, Big Buck Crossing, Ellabell, said Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson. The call initially went through Bryan County 911, but when law enforcement determined the home was in Bulloch County, dispatchers routed the call to Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies.
