AgSouth Farm Credit welcomes back Christy Marsh

Theron Anderson, director of SMM & Related Services at AgSouth Farm Credit, announced that Christy Marsh has joined the cooperative as Country Home loan manager. Marsh will manage the association’s mortgage loan originators and will be based in the company’s headquarters in Statesboro.

Originally from Bainbridge and a graduate of the University of Georgia, Christy holds a marketing degree with a minor in mass communications. She was a Realtor from 2005-2008. During that time, she earned the designation of GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) and associate broker and was honored as a member of the Distinguished Sales Society.  

Marsh was a mortgage loan originator with AgSouth from 2008-2015 and has most recently been an originator with Synovus Mortgage Corp. In 2014 she was honored as one of Statesboro’s 20 under 40. 

She is very involved in the Statesboro community and is a graduate of Leadership Bulloch, where she served as co-chair and chair, and a former member of the Professional Women of Statesboro and the Bulloch County Chamber of Commerce board. She is currently a member of the Statesboro Service League and is participating in the Lynda Brannen Williamson Leadership Academy. She and her family are members of the First Baptist Church.

Anderson said, “We are happy to welcome Christy back to AgSouth. She brings valuable mortgage knowledge and leadership to her position and will be a valuable asset to us as we continue to expand our mortgage markets throughout our territory.”

AgSouth Farm Credit provides loans for land, equipment and production agriculture; crop insurance; leasing; and home mortgages. The association is headquartered in Statesboro.
