Bulloch County sheriff’s investigators arrested two teens Monday in connection with a February convenience store burglary.
Nikkolas Dylan Wright, 18, of Regan Road in Millen; and Tony Singleton, 17, of Davis Street in Sylvania, each were charged with burglary in the Feb. 17 incident at Yug’s Market convenience store on Ga. 25, Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said.
Deputies responded to an alarm that day and found the store had been burglarized. Images from surveillance video were distributed through the news media and posted on the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
“Several tips were received as a result of the media release and two potential suspects were identified,” Anderson said.
Jenkins County sheriff’s officials gave information to Bulloch County sheriff’s investigators earlier this month, which led them to question Wright, Anderson said.
“Based on this interview and evidence gathered (at the scene of the crime), Wright was charged with burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and second degree criminal damage to property.”
Singleton turned himself in to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force after learning he was wanted. He is charged with burglary.
Wright is being held at the Bulloch County Jail without bond, while Singleton was given a $5,000 bond.
“I’d like to thank the citizens who submitted tips, the Jenkins County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in this case,” Anderson said.
