2 men charged with entering autos

Statesboro police officers caught two men peering into vehicles early Wednesday morning, and when the suspects fled, gave chase.
Lt. Chuck Forney and Officer Christopher Deloach pursued the men after spotting them acting suspiciously around 12:17 a.m. at University Pines, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said.
Within minutes, Christian Collin Elliott, 20, of English Oaks Boulevard, and Tyler John Morgan, 21, of Prather Road in Brooklet, were in custody, Turner said.
Both men were charged with four counts of entering auto, and were taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
