2 masked men rob delivery driver
Robbery 2 PNG

Two masked men – one wearing a white clown mask and the other a black bandana – robbed a food delivery driver at gunpoint Monday night in Campus Crossings, Statesboro police said Tuesday morning.

Statesboro police officers responded to Campus Crossings on Lanier Drive at about 11:48 p.m. Monday in reference to an armed robbery.

The victim, Jimmy Johns driver, had completed a delivery and was approached by the masked men, described as black and armed with a shotgun and a handgun. They forced him to the ground and demanded his money and cellphone, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said in a Tuesday morning news release.

One of the robbers wore a mask described as a white clown mask with red markings and had a Mohawk-style haircut. The other wore a dark-colored cloth, possibly a bandana, around his face. After the robbery, the offenders fled on foot, Turner said.
