Jeff and Julie Troutt of Alpharetta are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Ann, to William Lovett Bennett, son of Lovett and Missy Bennett of Statesboro.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Chattahoochee High School, the University of Georgia with a BBA in marketing and Georgia Southern University with a Master of Arts in teaching and an educational specialist degree, both in middle grades education. Megan is employed as an eighth-grade physical science teacher. Megan is the granddaughter of the late William and L'Gene Butler and the late Bryson and Betty Troutt, all of Indianapolis, Indiana.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Statesboro High School and the University of Georgia with a BS in avian biology. He is currently enrolled at Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University, in Macon. Will is the grandson of LaRue Tyson Mallard and the late Walter Hampton Mallard and Sara Neville Bennett and the late Lovett Bennett, all of Statesboro.

The wedding is planned for January 2, 2016, in Athens, Georgia.
