Tamala Jade Simmons and Marc-Anthoni Peacock Jr.

    Anthony and Joyce Simmons of Statesboro are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Tamala Jade, to Marc-Anthoni Peacock Jr. Marc-Anthoni is the son of Yvette Binns of Los Angeles, California, and Marc-Anthoni Peacock Sr. (Alisha) of Montgomery, Alabama.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ozell and Lillie Lawrence of Portal, Ga., and Bobby and Erselyn Simmons of Statesboro. A 2003 graduate of Statesboro High School, Tamala received a BS degree in Business/Marketing Education from Alabama State University. She is pursuing her MBA degree in Information System Management from Argosy University and is currently employed with the Cobb County School District. Tamala is a member of Beta Eta Chapter of delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Irving and Rhonda Peacock of Willingboro, New Jersey, and Joann Binns and the late Felton Binns of Los Angeles, Calif. Marc-Anthoni graduated from Susan Miller Dorsey High School, Los Angeles, Calif., in 2003. He attended Alabama State University and will complete his studies at Chattahoochee Technical College in Information Technology. Marc-Anthoni is currently employed with FedEx Office in Smyrna, Ga.
    The wedding is planned for Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Brannen Chapel United Methodist Church in Statesboro.
