Dr. and Mrs. Britt Pilcher of Kathleen, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Brenna Elizabeth Pilcher, to William Allen Kent, son of the Reverend Bill Kent of Pitts, Ga., and the late Mrs. Cindy Kent.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dempsey of Cochran, Ga., and Dr. and Mrs. Lamar Pilcher of Loudon, Tenn. Brenna is a 2010 graduate of Warner Robins High School and a 2014 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Education in communication sciences and disorders. She will continue her studies in the fall at the University of Georgia as a master's student in communication sciences and disorders.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Steele of Winterville, Ga., Mrs. Judy Kent of Statesboro and the late Dr. William Kent. Allen is a 2009 graduate of Crisp County High School and a 2013 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Allen's area of emphasis is Spanish. He was employed in Monroe County Schools for the 2013–14 school year, and he plans to teach in the Athens area in the fall.
    The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Central Baptist Church.
