Sara Elizabeth Pheasant David Alan Reed

    Mr. and Mrs. Gary Richard Pheasant of Atlanta, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sara Elizabeth, to David Alan Reed. Mr. Reed is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles David Reed and the late Susan Moseley Reed of Sylvania, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marilyn Elizabeth Pheasant and the late David John Pheasant of Rochester, N.H., and the late Donald Henry and Jane Brannen Rice of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of northern Kentucky. Miss Pheasant is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Spanish. After graduation, she spent a year in New York as an Augustinian volunteer teaching Spanish and serving as a liaison for an NGO at the United Nations. She currently is employed by Sutherland Asbill & Brennan in Atlanta, where she coordinates the public service and pro bono efforts at the law firm.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late David Weldon and Anne Hudmon Reed of Sylvania and the late Raleigh G. and Cornelia Turner Moseley of Stockbridge, Ga. Mr. Reed is a 2002 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He then attended law school at the University of Virginia, where he received a Juris Doctor in 2006. He is a patent attorney with Sutherland Asbill & Brennan in Atlanta.
    The wedding will be held on May 29, 2010, at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church in Savannah, Ga. After the wedding, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
