Al and Rhonda Kemp of Augusta, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Lynn Kemp of Statesboro, Ga., to Rodney Allen Fowler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney and Kim Fowler of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Jamie and Tammy Neal of Metter.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kidd and Annie Mae Kemp of Metter and Mr. and Mrs. Bob and Maxine Shanks of Jacksonville, Florida. She is a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College, with a degree in Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting. She is currently working at Bulloch Pediatrics.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Latha Fowler of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron "W" and Dorothy "S" Love of Atlanta. He is a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College for EMT and is currently working for the City of Statesboro's Water Department. He also serves as a volunteer fire fighter for Bulloch County.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 20th.
