Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Johnson of Bloomingdale and Mr. and Mrs. Jason Dowd of Brooklet announce the engagement of their daughter, Brandy Michelle Johnson of Statesboro, to Justin Rhett Youngblood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Youngblood and the late Ricky James Youngblood.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wheeler and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnson. She graduated from Southeast Bulloch in 2005. She attended East Georgia College and Georgia Southern University and currently works as a nurse at The East Georgia Foot and Ankle Center. She has one son, Zachary Shane Johnson.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Virginia Mercer and the late Vernon Mercer. He graduated from Metter High School in 2006. He also graduated from Swainsboro Technical College in 2009. He works as a lineman at Excelsior EMC in Metter, Ga.
    The couple plan to wed on September 18, 2010, at 6 p.m. at Guido Gardens in Metter, Ga.
