Mr. and Mrs. William Clifford Hodges Jr. of Millen, Georgia, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Whitney Belle Hodges of Statesboro, to Timothy Dale John, son of Mr. Michael Thomas John of Gautier, Mississippi.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. James Elijah Moore of Swainsboro, Ga., the late Mrs. John Christian Kaufman of Saint Simons Island, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Clifford Hodges of Millen. Miss Hodges is a 2003 graduate of Jenkins County High School, an alumna at Zeta Tau Alpha sorority at Georgia Southern University and a 2007 graduate of Georgia Southern University, with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is employed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a plant protection field agent.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Thomas Willoughby of Knightdale, North Carolina, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John John of Gautier, Mississippi. He is a 1998 graduate of West Georgia College, with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Economics, and a 2004 graduate of the United States Air Force Pilot Training. He is employed by the Georgia Air National Guard as a pilot.

The couple has planned to wed on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 6 p.m. at The Brannen Airstrip in Statesboro.
