Mr. and Mrs. Chad Heard Sr. of Newton, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Ann Heard of Newton, Ga., to Matthew Bret Sanders of Alpharetta, Ga.
    The prospective bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Marshall Jr. of Pelham, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Heard of Newton, Ga. She graduated from Sherwood Christian Academy in 2002 and Georgia Southern University in 2006, with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Food Science/Dietetics. She obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 2009 and is currently working full-time as a registered dietitian at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.
    The prospective groom is the son of Ms. Karen Sanders of Daphne, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sanders of Opelika, Ala. He is the grandson of Mrs. Marguerite Pierce and the late Mr. Edwin Pierce and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sanders of Opelika, Ala. He graduated from Milton High School in 2003. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration/Marketing in 2007 from Georgia Southern University and is currently employed as a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments in Thomasville, Ga.
    The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. at Pebble Hill Plantation in Thomasville, Ga.
