Laura Elizabeth Healy and Thomas Nevin Krause

    Dr. and Mrs. Stephen J. Healy of Statesboro are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Elizabeth of Richmond, Va., to Mr. Thomas Nevin Krause of Charlottesville, Va. Mr. Krause is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Krause of West Grove, Pa.
    Ms. Healy is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hampton (Polly) Smith Jr. of Statesboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph James (Cecilia) Healy of Cascade, Iowa.
    Mr. Krause is the grandson of the late Rev. Walter and Mrs. (Norma) Krause of Johnstown, Pa., and the late Mr. Franc Merz of Schuylkill Haven, Pa., and the late Mrs. Angela Monroe of Manteca, Calif.
    The bride-elect is a graduate of Statesboro High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., and received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville with specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is employed as a nurse practitioner at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Hospital in Richmond.
    The groom-elect is a graduate of Avon Grove High School in West Grove, Pa. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and received his Master of Engineering from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He is employed by Northrop Grumman Engineering's Sperry Marine division in Charlottesville.
    The wedding will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville on September 14, 2013, at half-past two in the afternoon, with a reception to follow at the Greencroft Club.
    A Statesboro reception/celebration will be held in October.
