Dr. Laura Farless and Dr. Gilmore MacGregor of Birmingham, Alabama, were united in marriage on November 20, 2010, during a 5 p.m. ceremony held at the First Presbyterian Church in Birmingham. The Rev. Michelle Freeman Owens and the Rev. Shannon Webster officiated.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Farless of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles L. Robinson, the late Mr. Robinson and the late Meredith Sessoms Pickelsimer.
    The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul F. MacGregor of Metter, Georgia, and is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bemon McBride Jr., the late Miriam McBride and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert MacGregor.
    Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an ivory silk satin organza gown with a ruffled skirt, dropped waist accented with a silk flower and a chapel train.
    Ashley Robin Farless, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Caitlin Colmes Sackman of New Hampshire, Dina Kopperman Rabin of Manhattan, N.Y., and Amy MacGregor Davis of Dothan, Ala.
    Mr. Paul Francis MacGregor served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Dr. Hugh Hill Davis of Dothan, Ala., Paul Scott MacGregor of Jacksonville, Florida, and Robert Chase Nelson of Bluffton, South Carolina.
    Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham.
    The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and now resides in Birmingham.
