Mr. and Mrs. Howell Clements of Odum, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Maryn Clements of Odum, Ga., to Charles Clayton “Clay” Chandler Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chandler of Statesboro, Ga.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Purvis of Jesup, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Clements of Odum, Ga. She graduated from Wayne County High School and attended Georgia Southern University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Physician Assistant from South University.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Chandler of Statesboro, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Brown of Dublin, Ga. He graduated from Statesboro High School and attended Ogeechee Technical College, where he graduated with a degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, and also attended Georgia Southern University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. He is currently the owner of Chandler Roofing and Specialty Metals, Inc.
The couple has planned to wed on April 23rd, 2012, at 5 p.m. at the Playa Mujeres Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
