MACON — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lewis Smith and Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson Bowers announce the engagement of their daughter, Haley Allison Bowers, to William Leonard Herrington, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Edwards Herrington of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Tucker of Macon, the late Mr. Walter Harley Bowers and Mrs. Joyce Matthews Bowers of Macon and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fredrick Syme of Winter Park, Fla. Haley received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Georgia Southern University. She is currently employed in marketing in Nashville, Tenn.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas Sanders and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Lynwood Herrington, all of Nashville. Will is currently employed as the executive chef of a city club in Nashville.
    An intimate wedding ceremony is planned for Sunday, May 25, 2014, in Charleston, S.C.
