Mr. and Mrs. Jared H. Housand

    Denise B. Aldrich and Jared H. Housand were united in marriage on March 13, 2010, at First United Methodist Church in Statesboro, Georgia. Pastor Ron Andrew of Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church in Statesboro performed the double-ring ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. Joe E. Aldrich Jr. and Ms. Mary K. Aldrich of Statesboro. The groom is the son of Mr. Larry Housand and Mrs. Janet Housand of Tabor City, North Carolina.
    Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Cindy Haislop, who was her matron of honor. Her bridesmaids included Amanda Yeater Vega of Statesboro, Brandi Boatright of Blackshear, Ga., Natosha Edenfield of Swainsboro, Ga., Tara Carnes of Savannah, Ga., and Heather Housand Hinson of Tabor City, N.C.
    The bride wore an ivory sleeveless gown featuring a sweetheart neckline. Her chapel-length gown was adorned with glass beads, sequins and a lace-up back. Swarovski crystals were laid throughout the gown's rouched bodice and formed an asymmetrical outline down the front. The bride's tiara also featured Swarovski crystals, which complemented her chandelier earrings and beaded edge of her double-layered wedding veil.
    The bridesmaids paraded chocolate satin gowns having A-line waistlines with pleated ivory cummerbunds. The back of their ensembles featured flowing ivory satin tails, which hung floor-length with their dresses. These strapless gowns were accented with champagne colored pearl earrings and necklaces.
    The groom's father, Larry Housand, served as the best man at the ceremony. Groomsmen included Mark Cox & Jack Hinson of Tabor City, N.C., Robert Moore of  Charlotte , N,C., Bryan Fowler of Douglasville, Ga., and Ronnie Aldrich of Statesboro, Ga.
    The flower girls were Alexis and Olivia Allen of Statesboro. They wore ivory-colored dresses covered with delicate pearls and chocolate satin sashes.
    This semi-military styled wedding featured a 14-man sword detail. The sword detail included Capt. Johnny Barraza, Capt. Jay Coleman, Capt. Steve Henderson, Capt. Robert Jorgensen, Capt. Andrew Kingsbury, Capt. Brett Keller, Capt. Kenny Malone, Capt. Drew McAbee, Capt. Kenneth Palmer, Capt. Gray Payne, Capt. Steve Podmore, Captain Joseph Quirk, Capt. Tony Scarcella and Capt. Ralph Tompkins, who all also served as ushers.
    Nicole Aldrich, Janet Swanson, Heather Brady and Chad Mitchell all served as vocalists at the ceremony.
    The wedding reception was held at the Gene Bishop Field House at Georgia Southern University, where Heather Brady and Chad Mitchell were featured vocalists.
    The bride is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and is employed with Marine Corps Community Services of Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., where she works as a training coordinator for the Human Resource Department.
    The groom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is a UH-1N helicopter pilot for the United States Marine Corps, where he serves as a captain at New River Air Station.
    The bride and groom currently reside in Jacksonville, N.C., where Capt. Housand is stationed. They are currently celebrating their one year anniversary.
