Mr. and Mrs. Gene and Sandra English of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Tonya Oliver of Statesboro, to Michael Deal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Becky Deal.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty and Grady Cannon. She is a 2007 graduate of Georgia Southern University with an Early Childhood degree and is employed by Julia P. Bryant as a fifth grade teacher.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Wilbur and Alma Deal. He is employed with his family’s business, Deal’s Heating & Air.
The couple has planned to wed on April 4, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Snella’s Place.
