Mr. and Mrs. Terry Murphey of Dearing, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Hillary Michelle Murphey of Statesboro, to Austin Greene Zeigler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Zeigler.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Betty Lazar and Louise Murphey and the late John Murphey. Hillary graduated from Thomson High School. She will graduate from Georgia Southern University in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with magna cum laude honors.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Jerry and Trudie Zeigler (both deceased), Frank and Cynthia Sexton and Dan and Sue Drinnen. Austin graduated from Statesboro High School. He is attending Georgia Southern University, where he is majoring in Construction Management and minoring in Business and Spanish. He currently works for H.A. Sack Company.
The couple has planned to wed on May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Fletcher Memorial Baptist Church in Statesboro.
