Halloween is never really Halloween without a dose of sheer fright tossed into the brew. Thanks to some less than scary financial strategies, your bank account doesn’t necessarily have to share in the terror. It may pale next to such money heavy holidays as Christmas, but Halloween shopping levels are anything but flat lined (as opposed to the people the holiday commemorates.) The National Retail Federation estimates the average person will spend $77.52 on Halloween this year, up slightly from last year’s $75.03 average.
