The Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department and Sea Island Bank presented the 2013 Firecracker Fest at Mill Creek Regional Park on Thursday. The free event included games, live music and community exhibitions, as well as the traditional Frog-Jumping Contest, a Baseball/Softball Skills Contest and the Subway Sub-Eating Contest. To celebrate Mill Creek Park's 20th birthday, several new events were added this year, including family games, a BMX show and the return of the greased pole.
