"Surfin' USA: Greatest Hits of the Beach Boys" hit the Emma Kelly Theater Saturday to take the evening's audience on a journey back in time to summer days, good friends and great music. Rockin' guitar intros got guests out of their seats and grooving to classic Beach Boy hits including "I Get Around," Kokomono," "Good Vibrations," "Don't Worry Baby" and, of course, "Surfin' USA." In addition to the performance, the seventh annual Connect Statesboro Swimsuit Contest began the event with an on-stage presentation of the contest's nominees in their swimsuits. The audience was encouraged to vote for their favorite contestant during intermission.
