Kelsey Webb is a Georgia Southern University junior who wants success in life, and she believes she will achieve it soon.
Originally from Atlanta, Webb is majoring in middle grades education. She decided to attend GSU for a couple of reasons.
“I wanted to be away from home but not too far, and the campus is beautiful,” she said.
Webb says that she has learned a lot about life throughout her time in college.
“It has taught me responsibility and time management but most of all how to interact with people that come from different backgrounds,” she said.
One memory she recalls fondly is moving into Kennedy Hall her freshman year and serving on hall council, which was her first leadership experience.
Of all the things yet to come, Webb says she is most looking forward to graduating from GSU and beginning her career in education.
“After graduating with my master’s, I plan on teaching in a low-income middle school for two years, (then) taking a certification to become a principal after doing that for two years,” she said. “I then plan to open up my own charter school.”
