    An estimated 25,000 people packed into Paulson Stadium last Saturday, May 10, to watch more than 2,500 undergraduate students graduate from Georgia Southern University. Gov. Nathan Deal was the keynote speaker.
    On Friday, May 9, more than 600 graduate students received their degrees. Langston Chapel Middle School special education English language arts teacher Jemelleh Coes, the 2014 Georgia Teacher of the Year, gave the keynote speech at Hanner Fieldhouse.
    Ogeechee Technical College handed out more than 1,800 degrees, diplomas, certificates and GED diplomas to more than 350 students during its commencement Thursday at Hanner. Herman Boone, the famous Virginia high school football coach who was the inspiration for the movie “Remember the Titans,” was the keynote speaker.
