Maxine Anvik celebrated her 90th birthday on October 29, 2007. Maxine has enjoyed living in Statesboro for several years, where she has made many friends through Newcomers Club, Red Hat Society, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and her thoughtful neighbors. Maxine has been married to her husband, Art, for 69 years. She was raised in eastern Montana and lived in Glendive, Mont., for 31 years. They moved to Lake Havasu City, Ariz., where they resided until they moved to Statesboro to live with their daughter, Nelda Bishop. Relatives and friends from Alaska, Washington, Montana, Arizona, Florida, and Georgia were in Statesboro to take part in a birthday party and a celebration of Maxine’s life held on November 3rd.
