Mr. Edward Williams and Grace Huff Williams of Register celebrated their Golden Anniversary on the 8th of November with family.

      The couple was married in 1958 in Statesboro, Ga. They have six children, the late Elvilrea Ann Williams of Decatur, Ga., Lee W. Williams of Williamsburg, Va., Edwina Evonda Pittman of Lithonia, Ga., Gwendolyn Ruffin of Jonesboro, Ga., Veronica White of Savannah and Edward Romero Williams of Register; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

      Mrs. Williams retired from Georgia Southern University Physical Plant as a custodian supervisor in 1998 after 30 years of service and Mr. Williams retired from GSU's Physical Plant Construction in 1997 after 31 years of service.
