Luther and Emily Scales celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary on June 14. They were married in 1958 in West Point, Ga. They have two children, Erica Scales of Savannah and Clayton Scales of Charleston. Erica and her husband, Stephen Hooten, have two daughters.  Clayton, married to Madeleine DiNitto, has one daughter and one stepson.
