Carlene Franklin Johnson and John Roy Johnson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 3. They were married on June 3, 1967, at the Statesboro Primitive Church with Bro. T. Roe Scott officiating. Roy and Carlene have two sons, Chris (Debbie) Johnson and Mitch (Denice) Johnson. They also have two grandsons, Luke and Jake Johnson; and three step-grandchildren, Taylor, Josh and Michaela Moody. They reside in Portal.
