Whitaker signs with Clark Atlanta
Torrance Whitaker, a senior at Statesboro, signed a national letter of intent to play football at Clark Atlanta University on Wednesday on the campus of SHS. Whitaker will be a wide receiver for the Panthers, who compete in Division II's Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. "I'm from Atlanta," said Whitaker. "I know Atlanta real well and (Clark) is a good school. I like academic-wise and I like it sports-wise."
