Local Roundup: SHS golf clinches spot in state
Statesboro

Statesboro’s score of 322 in April’s Region 3-AAAA golf championships was good enough for third place in the competition.
Better yet, it was enough to qualify for the state championships.
The Blue Devils will join 14 other Class AAAA schools to shoot it out for a state title. The state championship will be held May 20 at the Dalton Country Club. The Devils will travel north at the end of the week and play practice rounds on Saturday and Sunday before Monday’s competition.
