    PEMBROKE — On the strength of a two-out, seven-run rally in the third inning, the Southeast Bulloch Lady Yellow Jackets (10-3, 5-0 Region 1-AAA) run-ruled Bryan County, 8-0, Wednesday in a five-inning, non-region game.
    Southeast mashed five doubles in a row in the inning to build an insurmountable lead.
    Ciera Peebles struck out seven in the one-hit shutout.
    Sierra Clark led the way at the plate for SEB, scoring and finishing 3-for-4. Leah McCarthy (2-for-3, R, RBI), Effie Manahan (2-for-3, R, RBI) and Dallas McClellan (1-for-2, R, 2 RBIs) each added a big day at the plate.
    The Jackets return to region play today when they host Beach at 5:30 p.m.

BA rallies for win
    EATONTON — Bulloch Academy rallied in the top of the seventh inning to beat Gatewood 5-3 in a GISA Region 4-AAA action Tuesday.
    Down 3-2 headed into the final frame, the Lady Gators scored three runs and held in the bottom of the inning for the victory.
    Ashley Burke led off the seventh with a single and Marianna Peebles beat out a bunt. Both advanced on Kaleigh Sisolak’s groundout. Ashlee Lanier lined a single to center to score Burke. Ally Cheshire slapped a double to center to plate both Peebles and Lanier.
    In the bottom of the inning, Gatewood went three up, three down and Bulloch upped its record to 9-7 overall and 3-2 in region play.
    BA collected 12 hits on the afternoon. Cheshire went 3-for-4 while Burke, Peebles, Lanier and Lauren Dennard went 2-for-4. Danielle Atkinson had other hit.
    Dennard got the win, scattering six hits through seven innings of work. She struck out five.
    The Lady Gators take on region rival Edmund Burke Academy today in the opening game of a varsity/junior varsity doubleheader.

GSU sets dates for fall baseball camps
    Georgia Southern baseball is set to host three baseball camps October. 
    The camps begin Oct. 8, and run through Oct. 25.
    The Infield Camp will meet on Mondays from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. (Oct. 8, 15 and 22).
    The Hitting Camp will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. (Oct. 9, 16 and 23).
    The Pitcher/Catcher Camp will meet on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. (Oct. 11, 18 and 25).
    The camps will be three sessions each and will consist of individual instruction on each aspect of the game (Infield/Hitting/Pitcher-Catcher). Each of the camps are $120 but players may register for all three camps for $300.
