    PEMBROKE — The Bryan County Lady Redskins (8-3, 3-1 Region 3A-A) saw two pitchers, Tiffany Howard and Alaina Walker (W, 3-1) combine for a perfect game as Savannah Country day fell 15-0 at BCHS Wednesday.
    Rebecca Strickland hit a thtwo-run double and Stacy Turner knocked a three-run double in the win.
    The Redskins host Calvary Day today at 4 p.m.

Spivey hired at CICC
    FT. DODGE, Iowa — Former Southeast Bulloch track star Amanda Spivy, the Yellow Jackets' record holder in discus (125-feet, 1 inch, will join the coaching staff at Central Iowa Community College on Sept. 5.
    During her senior year at SEB, Spivey won the state discus title
    After two years at Belville State College, Spivy came to Georgia Southern and finished her college career on scholarship.

Lady Eagles sweep Mercer
    MACON — The Georgia Southern Volleyball team completed their third-straight sweep and improved to 3-2 with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-20 victory over Mercer (0-4) Wednesday evening in Macon. The Eagles limited their attack errors to 11 and posted a .236 hitting percentage for the win.
    The Eagles continues a string of seven-straight road games with three this weekend at the Varney's Invitational hosted by Kansas State.
