Following the fourth best single-game rushing effort in Georgia Southern history, Dominique Swope was named the Sports Network's FCS Offensive Player of the Week, Monday.

Swope tallied 255 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' 55-48 win over Old Dominion in the second round of the FCS Playoffs.

The Buford, Ga., native recorded over half of the team's 477 rushing yards, including a 76-yard touchdown run right out of the gate in the second half, breaking a 28-28 halftime tie.

He added a 2-yard score in the first quarter following a third down 32-yard strike from Jaybo Shaw (Flowery Branch, Ga.) to Kentrellis Showers (Dublin, Ga.) that brought GSU down to the two-yard line.
