Braves drop 5th straight game
Giants Braves Basebal Heal
Atlanta Braves' Justin Upton (8) runs to third base as San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval (48) throws out Evan Gattis at second and a double play is turned on Chris Johnson's ground ball during the second inning of a baseball game, Saturday, May 3, 2014, in Atlanta.
ATLANTA - Maybe the Giants won't keep up their current home-run pace, but the surge in power isn't a surprise to manager Bruce Bochy. Brandon Belt, Buster Posey and Michael Morse hit home runs, each to lead off an inning, and the streaking San Francisco Giants beat the slumping Atlanta Braves 3-1 on Saturday night in a matchup of first-place teams. The NL West-leading Giants have won four straight and eight of nine.
