Obituary - Ralph Ross
Low Country Cremation and Burial
Ralph Ross

Mr. Ralph Ross, known to friends and family as “Sport”, passed into heavenly rest on February 29th, 2024, at his home in Bulloch County, surrounded by friends and family.

Sport fought a tough fight with cancer, never losing his sense of humor, love of family and his free spirit.

A native of Florida, Sport spent many years in Bulloch County married to the love of his life, Mary Ann Cowart Ross.

In addition to his loving wife, Sport leaves behind three sisters, Barbara Dambaugh of Clearmont, Fla.; Alice Costillo of Dallas, Texas; and Laurie Aron of Deland, Florida. In addition, he leaves one brother, Brian Creech of Arcadia, Florida; his mother, Alice Creech of Deland, Florida; and his grandmother, Alma Gunter of Eustice, Florida. Sport also leaves a stepson, Justin Hobbs of Portal.

There is one additional group that must be mentioned: the four chihuahuas that were always by his side and provided him much comfort and entertainment during the months of cancer treatment Sport endured. The last member of his fur baby family is a big female cat that was always bringing Sport “presents” from her hunts in the yard.

Sport had a special talent for small engines and always had several projects that his customers would bring him to fix up. A true tinkerer, Sport would often make parts that he was not able to find "off the shelf".

In addition to his small engine hobby, he enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and working in his very healthy garden.

The ceremony will be private; however, a celebration of life event will be planned at a date yet to be announced.

Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Ross family.
