STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Sonya Crosby, age 43, died on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
The Bulloch County native lived in Statesboro and also spent time in Davie, Fla. She was a graduate of Bryan County High School, Ogeechee Technical College with a CNA degree and received her medical assistant degree from Concord College.
She was a caretaker to many people and loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Crosby.
Surviving is her husband of 21 years, Tommy Felton; four daughters, Brittany Barnard, Erica Crosby, Amethyst Avendano, all of Statesboro; and Nina Ghobadi of Hollywood, Fla.; two sons, Corey Barnard and Tommy Felton Jr., all of Statesboro; two brothers, Craig (Mandi) Crosby and Alan (Amy) Crosby, all of Statesboro; her mother, Mary Powell of Statesboro; and her other parents, Janet and Jerry Collins of Pembroke, Ga. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service and burial at 2:30 p.m. at Harville Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Kwan Felton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Alan Crosby, Craig Crosby, Corey Barnard, Trevor Crosby, Kebbie Crawford and Tommy Felton Jr.
