Mary Ann Lane Robertson
Mary Ann Lane Robertson, age 69, went to be in her heavenly home on November 3rd, 2021.
    Mary Ann was born on October 25th, 1952, and raised in Bulloch County.
    She graduated from Statesboro High School in 1970. She received a BBA in business from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business. She also attended Georgia State University.
    Mary Ann worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation and Department of Administrative Services before retiring from Georgia Southern University.
    She enjoyed her past volunteer work on the Advisory Board of the Senior Companion Program at GSU, along with her help at The Lodge at Bethany.
    She was a member of the Jonesboro First Baptist Church before changing her membership to the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of the Virgil Agan Bible Study Class and Mary Martha Circle.
    At UGA, she was a member of the fraternity of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Upsilon Chapter.
    She found her happy place at Fripp Island. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends and her grandchildren brought her so much joy and happiness.
    She loved cooking, especially new dishes that she could try out on her family. She enjoyed reading, traveling, walks on the beach and shelling.
    Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents, William Jones Lane and Sue Franklin Lane; and her sister, Gloria Lane; and her brother, William Jones “Billy” Lane Jr.
    Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Forrest and Brooke Robertson; daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Hunter Clanton; two grandsons, Lane and Jones Clanton; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert E. “Bob” and Kitty Lane; her sister-in-law, Pat Lane; her aunt, Dr. Betty Lane; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
    The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 9th, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
    There will be a private graveside service for family at Eastside Cemetery following visitation.
    Any charitable contributions may be made to Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church, 4 South Zetterower Avenue, Statesboro, Georgia 30458; American Diabetes Association, www.donations.diabetes.org/ways.to.give; or American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
